1. Provide verbal cues

As a species, we are hardwired for quick exchange of conversation. A  common video call problem is connection interruption, this is enough to throw us off track. It’s best to keep providing verbal feedback if you’re in a video call.

 2. Start with informal talks

It’s been often observed that teams that share tidbits of informal talks tend to work better. Making time for personal connections before meetings help in developing team spirit, and empathy.

 3. Making eye contact

While it’s difficult to make eye contact over a video call, it’s best to provide some sort of physical cues to keep the conversation going. Physical cues help improve conversation.

4. Equal chances

In a video call, it’s important to make sure that everyone gets an opportunity to participate equally. In the absence of a physical group, some people may get left out, so equally important to pass the baton of conversation to everyone.
